Science-Kids is a science program founded by former University of Tsukuba biology professor, Kazuo Haga.
We provide opportunities for elementary school and junior high school students to experience science and observe nature, either at Tsukuba University or at other locations in Tsukuba city.
The program centers mainly on biology, but as the name “Science-Kids” suggests, we touch on various fields of science, including physics, chemistry, geography and mathematics.
Science-Kids is now in its twelfth year, and this year 280 students will join the program. Activities are held on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, when there are no school lessons.
Science-Kids is organized and conducted by students of the University of Tsukuba, and parents of participating children are also encouraged to enjoy the activities.
