Introducing SCOUT

SCOUT (Science Communication of the University of Tsukuba) is a volunteer group of staff and students of the University of Tsukuba, committed to promoting awareness and understanding of advancements in science.

Our current projects include the following:

Tsukuba Science website

When fully developed, the Tsukuba Science website will report on research developments and science communication activities at the University of Tsukuba, along with fact sheets and background information on science topics, and insights into the lives of researchers.

“Kagaku Asobi Lab” science workshops

SCOUT members assist in planning and conducting Kagaku Asobi Lab—a series of science workshops held at local schools and shopping centers, designed to stimulate children’s interest in science. More information about these workshops can be found here.

New members are always welcome. We are currently looking for performers, writers, translators, photographers, web designers, and more. If you are interested in joining SCOUT, or if you have any other inquiries please contact:
